  • Spring 2017: A Busy Season and New Beginnings

    April 17, 2017

Spring has been a whirlwind! I’ve been experimenting with frames, refining my process, and expanding “World of Art Prints”  worldwide. I’m thrilled to say that orders are now being shipped literally around the world- to Australia, and I’m sending prints to the USA almost weekly. However, postage to Canada has been a bit slow, so I strongly recommend upgrading to the express courier option for a faster and smoother delivery. This years best seller is the Principle Rivers of Scotland which I recently digitised from an original and much damaged etching which had been beautifully hand coloured. Hoping to hang…
  • January 2017: Reflecting on a Busy December and Exciting New Projects

    January 7, 2017

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m just catching my breath after an absolutely incredible December. I was truly blown away by the interest in my work, particularly in the bespoke maps of Scotland and England that seemed to capture so many hearts this holiday season. It’s been an honour to create these personalized pieces, and I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed hearing the stories behind each request. For those who aren’t familiar, one of my most popular offerings has been creating custom prints using vintage maps of specific areas—whether it’s Scotland, England, Ireland, or even some old sea charts.…
  • Six Months online: The Joy of Mapping Scotland’s History

    December 7, 2016

Hello again, friends! It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been selling online (mainly Etsy, but a few folk finding “World of Art Prints” online) for six months now, and what a journey it’s been! As many of you know, I’ve been focusing mainly on reproductions of old maps of Scotland, and it’s been going rather well. I suspect my success has something to do with my pretty solid knowledge of Scotland—a knowledge I owe largely to my dad. You see, my dad spent forty years in the army, and as a result, our family holidays were strictly confined to Scotland.…
  • One Month In: Reflections and Dreams for World of Art Prints

    August 20, 2016

Hello again, dear followers! It’s been one month since I officially launched World of Art Prints, and what a whirlwind it’s been! In just 30 days, I’ve sent my prints to new homes in the USA, Netherlands, France, and even a very special bespoke map to celebrate a milestone birthday down south. Each sale has been a joy, and I’m truly grateful for the warm welcome my little corner of the art world has received. Starting this journey has been both exhilarating and humbling. When I first dreamt of World of Art Prints, I envisioned a place where the beauty…
  • Beginnings

    July 15, 2016

Hiya, I’m Ciorsdan, a lassie from the Highlands of Scotland with a love for all things printing. After spending a decade in the hustle and bustle of commercial print—working on exciting projects with big brands and advertising agencies in Leith—I decided it was time to take the plunge and start my own venture. So here I am, launching World of Art Prints, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this journey with you. You see, printing has always been my passion. I loved the creativity of the commercial world, but there was always something that didn’t quite sit right…
