During this time period, Germany was a collection of smaller territories and kingdoms, with a complex political landscape. The Holy Roman Empire, a loose confederation of states, was the dominant power in the region. The map may show some of the smaller territories and boundaries between them. However, it is important to note that the map may not be entirely accurate, as cartography was still developing in the 17th century.
