The title translates to ‘Upper or Inner Ethiopia’. The map shows the central location of Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Kinshasa, without specifically naming them. Bordering countries such as Chad, Congo (Brazzaville) and Congo (Kinshasa) are also depicted. The map provides a glimpse of the geography and landscape of the region during that time period.
